Johnita Morton lives in American Fork, Utah and is mother to four living children, and one angel baby. In March of 2021, she had a miscarriage at 17 weeks of pregnancy, which really opened her eyes to the many difficult decisions and circumstances women and families experiencing miscarriage face, often without adequate information or support. Her experience led her to join with her fellow board members in starting the Purple Chrysalis Miscarriage Aid Society in order to offer greater resources for these families. Johnita is a former science teacher and an avid board gamer. In her free time she enjoys biking, hiking, and journaling.

Laura Jorgensen grew up in the Seattle area but has been growing roots in Utah since she got married. She is an “amazing and awesome” mom to 4 living children and 2 angel babies. She is grateful to be able to homeschool her children because it gives her time with them and lets her continue her education as well. She is passionate about respecting life, no matter it’s age, and is glad for this opportunity to help others respect and remember the lives of their children. She likes cooking, reading, gardening, exercising, dancing with her husband, and reading with her kids.

Jessie Morton lives in Vernal Utah, she has been married for almost 17 years to her husband. She is a mom to 4 living kids and 1 angel baby. Jessie miscarried her last child at 20 weeks, and it was a difficult experience for her. She feels so privileged to be a part of this new organization, that strives to help other women navigate these difficult and confusing times.  Jessie has served as chair person for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life as well as serving on many other charitable committees. In her spare time Jessie likes to do crossfit, weight-lifting, hiking, and explore the outdoors with her family in their UTV.

Judy Sorenson lives in Provo Utah and is the mother of one angel boy (whom she delivered at 17 weeks) and 3 living children. After the initial loss of her first son due to preterm labor, she was denied a prophylactic cerclage for her subsequent pregnancy and delivered her rainbow baby daughter at 25 weeks, weighing only 1 lb 12 oz. (gratefully she made a full recovery). Judy was then officially diagnosed with cervical incompetence and was able to get the interventions she needed to safely carry and deliver two more children. She would like to help get the word out to more health care providers and women about the life-saving benefits of interventions with future pregnancies following preterm labor loss. She loves reading and learning and is passionate about mothering, gardening, health and wellness, and emergency preparedness.
